Well, I haven’t been writing any articles lately, but today I’m going to talk about a much hyped and interesting concept which is certain to heat up the market place if it ever comes into existence. And given on the advances we’ve made and are making in the technology world, it is very sure that in the coming few years we’re gonna start making smartphones that are slimmer, smarter, brighter and even faster than the ones we’re using right now.
And for tech lovers, Queens University Human Media Lab in Canada has come up with this rad concept of smartphone which they’ve named as HoloFlex. This design which runs on Android Lollipop, with a full HD display, that is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor that’s earmarked for GPU and 2GB of RAM is regarded as the exemplification of the smartphone that all the tech loves have been looking for. And to add to its list of specifications, it’s going to have a bendable screen.
HoloFlex, basically, is designed to project 3D holograms with glass free display. It has a FOLED display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.
The HoloFlex has this upside that we can transform software models into light field display based holograms, which results in a view of images that bear motion parallax and can be viewed from multiple angles by a number of users.
With a smart concept phone with such an amazing holographic display, there’s only one more thing we need to complete our list and, that is, a way to interact with it. And to aid this problem we’re only going to need the bendable and flexible quality this smart concept phone possesses. The left side is rigid, while the rest part is resilient which provides secondary haptic feedback for intuitive control over the z-dimension which is very facilitative.
Well, we’re very sure that the HoloFlex is going to be one of the most popular and successful smartphones of all times. It’s not like we see phones that provide holographic display every day, now, do we?
